Hoodoo is only home-spun "magic", not a practice. Just a simple, ordinary term for things that seem somehow beyond the average range of happenings - like Jung's synchronicity or those moments when we all feel that we receive communications psychically. That eerie feeling of cosmic energy!

Hoodoo is only home-made, practical magic, a wishing spell, or just a touch of the supernatural in one's life, not a formal body of either rituals or of religion.
Ocean's song, "Hoodoo Rap", is a homage to the blues of Bo Diddley and of the regions of the South where shuffling groove beats meet home-made, down home, tribal percussion.
